Description
THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This copy of one of the rarest of all Beatles' 1960's pressed UK discs is a collection filler only.
Just a few hundred copies of this MONO pressing were produced in late 1969 on the 1-EMI box Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels include the 'Made in Gt. Britain' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 9/MDT & 8/ATML
Vinyl weight: 137g
Housed within a correct thinner card, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with an outlined mono front indicator - although some copies did omit this. Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Visual: GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean but bear numerous surface marks consistent with the amount of frequent handling & play this copy has received. The marks themselves mainly consist fingernail scuff lines and there is nothing deep or feelable on either side. Both sides of this rare copy lie flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD
Despite having been played many times, there is no major deterioration to the sound quality throughout or any other major faults. My single careful play-check detected some mild playwear and a handful of soft clicks in between the first two tracks on side 2, but no further significant audible distractions or wear.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A relatively clean & strong example which displays light storage/age wear but no major faults. The high-gloss front panel has developed some significant age-toning but is otherwise clean & unworn. There is some light wear to the lower left corner but no significant wear to any of the others or either opening edge. The rear panel is very clean with all flipbacks clean & fully intact. Both seams and the fully worded spine are all smooth, unstressed and unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD
General wear with some age-toning & small splits to the lower and one side seam.
Our grading is strict & conservative grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
We carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 transcription turntable fitted with a 'TSD 15' cartridge at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
Every image in this listing has been taken by ourselves (with a Canon G12 camera) and are of the actual item for sale. We do not copy from other listings or use stock images.
Each record is professionally & securely packaged in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
